On August 25-29, 2018, Basel City of Switzerland welcomed nearly 2000 medical educators and experts from more than 100 countries. The International Conference on medical education (AMEE) 2018 opened in Basel Convention Center.

The conference includes two parts: pre - training and formal meetings, which lasted for a week. AMEE arranged the seminars, round tables, workshops, concerts and dinner parties with various subjects. AMEE invited the top experts from all over the world to show their style of speech and conduct academic exchanges. The event also attracted the guests from the various countries.
AMEE is a well-known international medical education alliance organization. It has a history of more than 40 years. It attracts the medical educators from almost all the countries in the world to participate in related activities. English exchange is one of the greatest characteristics of AMEE. AMEE has made a special contribution to the development of global medical education.
AMEE 2018 conference is very special. It attracted a large number of Asian delegates for the first time. Among them, more than 200 experts and scholars from the field of medical education in Taiwan, more than 50 delegates from Singapore. Some representatives came from mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau participating in the conference. The team of CSPC Beijing headquarters and about thirty foreign experts of CSPC from around the world attended the event.
The CSPC delegation gained a wealth of experience and support at the conference. The delegates have conducted academic and project exchanges with the educational institutions and expert teams from many countries. They completed a number of international cooperation projects. The CSPC delegation timely reported to the CSPC headquarters in Beijing and the leadership of the CSPC Committee through the Internet. CSPC will hold the 2018 annual conference at the end of this year, and the team will share all the contents of the AMEE conference with the national members.
