The 45th world skills competition was held in Kazan, Russia from August 22 to 27. More than 1300 participants, 3500 volunteers and leaders of the world skills competition entered the stadium of Kazan arena, lighting the exciting torch of the 2019 world skills competition. More than 1000 Chinese team members and observation groups attended the event. In this competition, "health and social care" is the first competition of Chinese team. CIAPST completed part of the work of the China observation group, and CSPC special representative delivered relevant reports about the competition back to Beijing headquarters in time every day in Kazan.
The Chinese delegation performed very well in this competition. It won 16 gold medals, 14 silver medals, 5 bronze medals and 17 winning awards. It once again ranked first in the gold medal list, medal list and group total score.
China's gold medal winning projects are: CNC lathe, CNC milling, welding, comprehensive machinery and automation, manufacturing team challenge, architectural stone carving, body repair, electronic technology, electrical equipment, masonry, mobile robot, flower art, hairdressing, fashion technology, concrete construction, water treatment technology.
China joined the World Skills Organization in 2010. In 2011, China participated in the world skills competition for the first time. China has participated in five competitions so far. China has won 36 gold medals, 29 silver medals, 20 bronze medals and 58 winners.
The competition of "health and social care" has four scenes: family, hospital, day care and nursing home. This event has always been attended by SP patients.
Yang Mengjing, a nursing undergraduate from Shanghai Medical College of health, is the first Chinese athlete to participate in the 45th world skills competition for health and social care, representing China in today's competition. In March 2019, she took part in the health and social care competition of China skills competition and won the first prize. She is the pride of Shanghai and China.
In an interview with reporters at the scene of the competition, Yang Mengjing said that the competition not only requires the contestants to have good English level, be familiar with medical words, but also consider the expression of emotion and mood of the contestants, and even achieve the effect of psychotherapy.
The special representative of CIAPST has been observing and accompanying Yang Mengjing through all the course of the competition, feeling her natural play on the scene and her care and service with patients in fluent English.
